Forgot to mention! I was getting in the shower and had two kids clamoring for my attention. Lily was holding her favorite book and demanding to be read to. She usually prefers to look at books by herself, so it was just my fabulous luck that she wanted me to read to her RIGHT as I was about to get a shower! Jack was wanting something, too (I think he was confirming that he could play a computer game while I was in the shower), so I handed him the book and asked him to read to Lily. He said "But I don't know how to read the words!" and I told him "This book is nothing but naming the pictures, and you can do that!" He happily took the book and pointed to each picture and told Lily what it was. It was so cute! He made it about 3 spreads (spread = the picture formed by two open pages of a book) before Lily yanked it out of his hands and flipped through the pages herself. This upset Jack, who wanted to yank it right back and finish reading it. I told him repeatedly to just go get his own book to look at while she looked at hers, but he simply hovered and waited for Lily to not hold the book so tightly, then yanked it back and finished "reading" it :D
That was pretty awesome!
I don't have any pictures of reading, b/c I'm usually the one reading and I'm also usually the one behind the camera, so I'll have to leave you with a picture of Jack helping Lily walk. This picture was taken at Tim's parents' house on June 13th (we came back from CA to work on packing, but we couldn't leave without visiting them one last time!)
